Valerie Pelton

Principal

Valerie Pelton is an accomplished attorney, mediator, entrepreneur, and former U.S. Air Force Signals Intelligence and Adversary Electronic Combat Operations Officer. With extensive experience in business law, Valerie represents both U.S. and international technology, telecommunications, and aerospace companies. Her legal practice encompasses various areas, including aviation law, securities law, mergers and acquisitions, software and technology licensing, and intellectual property law. She is admitted to practice in Texas, Virginia, New Jersey, California, and the District of Columbia. 

Valerie's notable certifications include CBCP, CCRP, Government Contracting, ADR, and she holds a pending CISSP certification scheduled for April 2025. Additionally, she serves as general counsel for a biotechnology company. Valerie earned her LL.M (Highest Honors) in National Security & U.S. Foreign Relations Law from George Washington University (“GWU”) Law School, along with a Master’s Certificate in Government Contracting from GWU Business School. She received her J.D. from Whittier College and an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Valerie also holds a dual baccalaureate in Modern European Studies and French from Vanderbilt University. Her scholarly works have been published in prestigious journals including the Journal of Air Law and Commerce, The International Lawyer, Journal of World Energy Law & Business, Texas Tech Administrative Law Journal, and numerous other legal texts related to business law and aviation law.
