Advisor

Tommy Kim brings over 13 years of extensive legal experience in corporate law, spanning both Korea and the United States. Prior to joining Solid State Law Firm, he worked at renowned firms like Kim & Chang in Seoul and Oliff PLC in the United States. He also held the role of Associate General Counsel at Coupang, a major global e-commerce company, where he managed complex negotiations and advised on a range of technology and transactional matters. 

Tommy specializes in technology transactions, intellectual property, commercial agreements, e-commerce, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance. He has a strong track record of delivering strategic legal guidance to multinational corporations, streamlining legal processes, and enhancing operational efficiency. Additionally, Tommy co-founded a legal tech startup, where he spearheaded the creation of AI-powered tools to automate legal research and document drafting, showcasing his innovative approach to the intersection of law and technology.
Tommy earned his JD from the University of New Hampshire School of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Cell Biology and Genetics from the University of British Columbia. He was licensed to practice law in Virginia and Massachusetts, and he is proficient in both English and Korean.
