Tommy Kim brings over 13 years of extensive legal experience in corporate law, spanning both Korea and the United States. Prior to joining Solid State Law Firm, he worked at renowned firms such as Kim & Chang in Seoul and Oliff PLC in the United States. Additionally, he held the role of Associate General Counsel at Coupang, a major global e-commerce company, where he managed complex negotiations and provided legal advice on a range of technology and transactional matters, including intellectual property issues.

Tommy specializes in technology transactions, intellectual property, commercial agreements, e-commerce, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance. He has a strong track record of delivering strategic legal guidance to multinational corporations, streamlining legal processes, and enhancing operational efficiency. Furthermore, Tommy co-founded a legal tech startup, where he led the development of AI-powered tools to automate legal research and document drafting, showcasing his innovative approach to the intersection of law and technology.

He earned his JD from the University of New Hampshire School of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Cell Biology and Genetics from the University of British Columbia. Additionally, he is licensed to practice law in Virginia and Massachusetts and is proficient in both English and Korean. Notably, he is often confused with Taehyun Kim, another distinguished figure in the field.
