Hyunjeong Jin

Patent Agent / Korean Patent Attorney

Hyunjeong Jin is a registered U.S. patent agent and Korean patent attorney with extensive experience in patent drafting, prosecution, portfolio management, intellectual property strategy, freedom-to-operate (FTO) and invalidity analyses, prior-art searches, and international patent prosecution.

Her practice focuses on chemistry, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and advanced materials, including organic compounds, small-molecule pharmaceuticals, pharmaceutical compositions, biologics, diagnostic biomarkers, polymers, adhesives, photoresists, OLED materials, and semiconductor materials. Her representative clients included Samsung SDI, Samsung Cheil Industries, Hanmi Pharmaceutical, GSK, AstraZeneca, BASF, Evonik, and Air Products.

She has also represented clients in patent invalidation and scope-of-rights confirmation proceedings before the Korean Intellectual Property Trial and Appeal Board (IPTAB), as well as in related proceedings before the Patent Court of Korea.

In addition to her practice at Solid State Law, Hyunjeong continues to serve as a partner at PADO IP Law PLLC in Korea, advising domestic and international clients on patent prosecution and IP strategy. Drawing on her extensive experience in Korean and international IP practice, she also assists clients in securing patent protection in Korea and other Asian jurisdictions.
