Meet the team

Hanhwe Kim, Ph.D.

Patent Attorney


Hanhwe Kim is a patent and intellectual property attorney with an in-depth understanding of computer technology. He has worked as general counsel for an AI chip startup, as well as in software copyright enforcement for computer-aided design tools, and patent prosecution and litigation. Prior to becoming an attorney, Hanhwe worked in the tech industry for twenty years as a researcher, software engineer, and entrepreneur specializing in user interface technologies. 

Hanhwe holds a J.D. from Santa Clara University, a Ph.D. in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh, and a B.S. in Computer Science from Sogang University in Seoul Korea. Hanhwe is licensed in California and before the USPTO.
