Meet the team

Chris Mitchell

Of Counsel

Chris is a registered patent attorney with over two decades of experience in the procurement and protection of intellectual property. While he has litigation support experience in inter partes review (IPR) and federal district court trademark matters, his primary focus is the preparation and prosecution of patent applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. His work spans technologies in the electrical, computer, and mechanical arts.

Licensed in Washington, DC, Ohio, and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Chris began his IP career in 2001 as a law clerk to a firm in Northeast Ohio. He has remained grateful ever since for the opportunity to serve clients in a variety of roles and to help them protect what they’ve worked hard to build. His clients range from individual inventors to multiple Fortune Global 500 companies. He approaches each matter with purpose, care, and an emphasis on practical collaboration.

Chris sees his role not just as a legal advisor, but as a counselor committed to helping clients achieve their broader goals. Outside of the office, he enjoys time with family, friends, and pets—valuing each day as it comes. Chris is always up for a hike or other off-road adventure.
